Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Day 2: Entebbe-Kitgum
After breakfast, set off on a scenic journey from Entebbe towards the remote wilderness of Kidepo Valley National Park. Along the way, enjoy a meaningful stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a remarkable conservation success story. Once extinct in Uganda due to decades of civil unrest and poaching in the 1980s, rhinos are now being carefully reintroduced here, offering you a rare chance to witness these majestic creatures up close.
Continue your journey northwards to Kitgum, with opportunities to observe local life and visit nearby communities, including refugee settlements that offer insight into region’s resilience and culture. As the day winds down, enjoy diner and settle into your accommodation for a restful overnight.

Day 3: Kitgum-Kidepo
This morning, we blaze on to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s most isolated gem tucked in the semi-arid valleys of Karamoja province. Only the bold few who dare the pilgrimage are rewarded with jaw-dropping scenery and a wild-life extravaganza lions, cheetahs, ostriches and water buffalo roaming free. Kidepo is also flaunts a mind-blowing bird list of 475 species, including East Africa’s rarest treasure like the Black-breasted barbet and the Karamoja Apalis.The road is in brutal, taking 2-4 grueling hours at best, but the payoff is epic: stunning vistas and rare peek into vibrant Acholi and Karamojong cultures that most visitors never get to experience.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park

Spend the day diving into Kidepo’s stunning landscapes, then kick the evening into high gear with an adrenaline pumping walking safari. Day 5 & 6: Kidepo- Murchison Falls National Park
Adventure kicks off with a thrilling drive from Kidepo to Murchison Falls, where you will spend 2 unforgettable nights. Stop for a tasty lunch in either Kitgum or Gulu, then chill the evening at the lodge with stunning views over the Nile River.
Rise early for a heart-pounding game drive across Uganda’s biggest national park, sweeping over rolling plains teeming with lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo and majestic elephants. If you are a birder, you will spot rare species like the secretary bird and black-chested snake eagle.
In the afternoon, hop on a boat to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile roars through a 7-meter gap and plunges 43m into Lake Albert. The riverbanks are alive with crocodiles, hippos and all sorts of wildlife gathering for a drink.

Day 7: Murchison Falls- Hoima
After a heavy breakfast, blaze out from the thundering Murchison Falls and roll into Hoima city, explore Mparo royal tombs and then visit the Bunyoro palace, soaking up its regal history, before chilling the night away in Hoima Cultural Lodge with its vibrant cultural vibes which include the cultural dances for entertainment
and unforgettable hospitality.

Day 8: Hoima to Fort portal
After breakfast, you will check out to Fort portal in the afternoon feeling the excitement build. Dive into the majestic Toro king’s palace, then wonder into the mysterious Amabere Caves where local legends come alive and you will soak up ancient heritage.
You will then proceed to the crafts markets to explore and experience traditional artisanship and acquire authentic souvenirs then to the accommodation.

Day 9: Fort portal- Nshenyi village
After breakfast, you will depart early for the western region of Uganda to Nshenyi Village in the afternoon.
Upon arrival, an introductory session will acquaint you with the village’s culture and its community members. You will have the opportunity to join local pastoralists in learning the traditional skill of setting out cows to graze (Oksetura), observing the nuanced practices involved. Additionally, you may spend time in the fields assisting with cow grazing and watering (okweshera)
You can also experience the traditional process of turning milk into ghee (okuchunda) within an enchanting local hut.
Optional activities include, visiting a local school, taking a nature walk or spending the evening at an open market to witness authentic rural African life often described as “Wall Street in rural Africa”

Day 10: Nshenyi Village Experience – Kisoro
The day begins early with a visit to the field where you participate in traditional milking (okukama) of long-horned Ankole cows. After returning to the farm for breakfast, you embark on a guided walk to the Bahima village to experience the authentic lifestyle of this traditional tribe, learning about their daily routines, culinary practices and native customs.
The afternoon offers an immersive observation of the region’s diverse and rich bird species.
The excursion proceeds to Kisoro in the evening with an overnight accommodation.

Day 11: The Batwa Trail Experience
Rise early in the morning to prepare for an immersive visit to the Batwa community, whose origins trace back to the lineage of Ghahinga fathers of Gahutu, Gatwa and Gatusi. This includes guided visiting of the Batwa cave, where the indigenous people once resided, and an enlightening narrative of the unique historical journey of the Batwa (pygmies) in Uganda.
Engage with local hosts to experience authentic cultural immersion, learn forgotten traditions, witness ancient rituals, and interact with vibrant performances of traditional dancing, music, craft making and storytelling. The program also explores the socio-environmental history of the Batwa, whose forest territories were transformed into Mgahinga National Park in efforts to elevate conservation status (a process finalized with the forest-to-park conversion in 1998).
The experience extends beyond sightseeing to include optional cooking classes and interactions. The day concludes with a return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Either drive back from Kisoro to Entebbe or Fly back from Kisoro to Entebbe.
After the morning breakfast, a very comfortable drive will take you to Entebbe and fly back home or, you will be transferred to Kisoro airstrip for a scenic flight to Entebbe International airport.
